The Internet Is Having A Hard Time Figuring Out How Many Legs This Woman Has

Imgur

The internet loves optical illusions. I mean, that became pretty obvious after the great “The Dress” debate, right? Was it blue and black, or was it white and gold? Some people still aren’t quite sure.

Well, get ready for the next big talking point online. Does this woman in fact have three legs? A photo of a woman has surfaced, and it’s pretty much all anyone can talk about at this point.

Now, I’ll admit, it’s hard to go into this photo (especially once the question “how many legs does this woman even have??” has been planted in your mind) and know exactly what’s going on immediately.

Why don’t you go ahead and take a look for yourself to see what I mean:

Tricky, huh?

OK, so let’s break this down. She’s squatting, and at first glance, it would appear as though she’s supported by three legs. Right? Right.

But, upon closer inspection, you can see that’s definitely not the case. You see, she’s really just holding some type of urn or vase of some sort. And that’s precisely what winds up looking like the third leg.

If you’re saying, “Ohhhhh,” right about now, I totally understand. In fact, I’m right there with you!

No one is quite sure where this image originated, but it was published to Imgur right before going viral. The user posted the photo with the caption, “Legit had to stare at this picture for a full minute before my brain told me what was going on,” and the rest of the online world definitely felt the same sense of confusion. Understandably so, I might add.

So, folks, do we have another “The Dress” on our hands? I’m not sure the Internet could ever feel that divided again, but, woman with “three” legs, you came close, you definitely did!

Are you still stumped? We’ve circled the urn for you below:
