Here’s How To Get Your Hands On The World’s Largest Dorito
If you have a problem with self-control when it comes to snacking, Doritos is about to blow your mind. In collaboration with “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom,” an “experiment gone horribly right” has resulted in Doritos of, well, let’s just say, dinosauric proportions. It is a Dorito so big, in fact, that eating just one should satisfy your craving!
Now through June 20, Doritos is releasing limited-edition one-foot (!!!) nacho-cheese flavored chips. But these are special “Jurassic World” chips, remember? So the giant Doritos will hatch from “dinosaur eggs” that are shipped to you in “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” prop-replica crates.
Yes, a Dorito hatched from a dinosaur egg. Amazing.
There’s only one catch: You can’t buy these gigantic Doritos in stores. If you’re looking to “adopt” a Jurassic Doritos chip, you will get the chance by tweeting @Doritos with “#JurassicDoritos #entry” before June 20.
If you’re not a fan of Twitter — or just want another chance to get your hands on the massive Dorito — you can also bid in an auction which also ends on June 20. All proceeds from the auction will be donated to help with volcanic disaster relief efforts for the American Red Cross chapter in Hawaii, where many scenes from the “Jurassic” films were shot.
A teaser video released earlier this week shows just how these rare Doritos came about. In the video, visionary mind behind the Indominus Rex, Dr. Henry Wu (played by B.D. Wong), merges Doritos and dinosaur DNA. Of course, the result is nothing short of amazing.
Just how much bigger is the Jurassic Dorito when compared to a normal nacho chip? Take a look for yourself — and try not to drool.
Or drool, whatever. No judgement here.
If you can’t get your hands on the Jurassic-sized Dorito, you can definitely find seven flavors of chips with custom “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” packages at your local grocery store. These packages also come with a movie-themed interactive website where you can explore a digital Isla Nublar (where the fictional dinosaur park is located) and rescue dinosaurs. More plays unlock more of the island and premium prizes. Five players will even win a grand prize trip to Costa Rica!
You can catch “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” in theaters on June 22. But in the meantime, will you try get your hands on one of these gigantic chips?
