‘Christmas Tree Hair’ Is The Holiday Beauty Trend Taking Over Instagram
This look would be perfect for all those ugly Christmas sweater parties.
In the grand tradition of Lady Gaga, it seems there is now a thing called… Christmas Tree Hair.
The way Daily Mail explains it, it’s pretty simple (albeit time-consuming). You use “a cone or a water bottle as a base to create volume.” Then a ton of hairspray locks the whole thing in place. Now color the hair—spray it green (or whatever color you like) and trim that tree however you see fit. How the girl above got lights in there is anyone’s guess.
And of course, you can’t create Christmas Tree Hair without instagramming it. Here are some of our favorites.
We love this ornament-filled version.
Works for kids, too!
You might have a problem fitting under the mistletoe on Christmas Eve, but those are the breaks.
A puppy always enhances the look.
If you need inspiration, just look to your own Christmas tree.
Guys, you can handle this one—as long as you don’t have a crew cut.
Birds may want to make a nest, so keep your eyes open.
