You can now buy a Reese’s Advent calendar

Could you eat a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup every day for 24 days straight? If so, you can now satisfy your craving for a daily dose of the candy with an Advent calendar filled with Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.

Available on Amazon for $23.11, the calendar features 24 days’ worth of different bite-sized Reese’s candies, including different flavors of mini Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and Reese’s Pieces. The back of the calendar features a word search, so kids (or adults!) can entertain themselves while they enjoy their daily treat in the days leading up to Christmas.

Yum! Even better news? The calendar was recently out of stock, but according to Amazon, it is now ready to ship. The calendar is also available for free, two-day shipping with Amazon Prime.

This Advent calendar comes on the heels of another recent candy innovation announcement. Hershey’s plans to roll out a new, thinner Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup that has about half as much chocolate and peanut butter as the original candy. The new product, which will be called Reese’s Thins, will be available beginning in March 2019. Check them out in this Twitter post from @reeses.

Although I personally don’t understand wanting less of the classic flavor combination of peanut butter and chocolate, the company says the new, thinner candy is designed for those customers who want to indulge in their favorite treat without going overboard with calories, fat and sugar.

Also debuting soon is a Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Bar with Reese’s Pieces candy inside. Hershey’s even shared the news on Twitter, telling fans to “get ready for the most ultimate mash-up ever.” Now that sounds a little more up my alley!

Aldi’s Has Wine Advent Calendars

Need something to pair with your sweet treat? You’re in luck. Aldi stores announced in August that it would release a wine Advent calendar this holiday season. Previously, the interactive wine-filled calendar was only available at the supermarket chain’s locations across the pond in the U.K, which was a bummer for those of us in the U.S. who wanted to snag one.

If you’re unfamiliar with the concept of an Advent calendar, it’s a special, three-dimensional calendar, typically made of wood or cardboard, and it’s used to count down the days of Advent, the season leading up to Christmas Day on Dec. 25.

Each day on the calendar has a small door that can be opened to find a tiny treat or trinket inside. There are tons of options to choose from, including a beer Advent calendar and even a Harry Potter one filled with tiny figurines.
