The day cookie dough lovers have been waiting for has finally arrived. Soon, you’ll be able to purchase Ben & Jerry’s cookie dough — without the ice cream. Admit it: you spend most of your time digging out those delectable little bits when you’ve got a pint of Ben & Jerry’s Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough ice cream in front of you. Well, this is the perfect way to get your fill of cookie dough without all of the extra work involved. Finally!

Ben & Jerry’s officially announced that it has “freed the chunks” and launched Ben & Jerry’s Cookie Dough Chunks. The new product features tiny balls of cookie dough, with no ice cream involved.

According to Ben & Jerry’s, these will be coming soon to a freezer aisle near you! The company released the news on Twitter:

Be on the lookout for three different flavors. Of course, there’s traditional Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. But you’ll also be able to add Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough to your grocery cart.

These delicious little morsels of dough will make movie viewing, girls’ night and all your evenings just a little better than ever before. Because nothing’s better than cookie dough that’s safe to snack on, piece after piece.

The CDC recommends avoiding raw cookie dough, typically. But according to People magazine, these cookie dough pieces are safe to eat because they’re made using pasteurized eggs and heat-treated flour.

Apparently, Ben & Jerry’s fans can’t wait to get their hands on these chunks, which is precisely what inspired the ice cream company to roll out these new products.

“Fans have been asking for ‘just the chunks’ for a while now,” Ben & Jerry’s innovation manager, Jody Eley, told People magazine. “During a short market test in Vermont last summer, fans snatched up the dough in record time. Bags flew off the shelves in mere days and stores could not keep the delicious dough bites in stock! Now, Ben & Jerry’s is rollin’ out the dough to fans across the US.”

And based on the reactions to the news online, Ben & Jerry’s won’t have a hard time convincing folks to give this a try.

Twitter user @dolcebellabaker tweeted a gif showcasing the perfect response to this cookie dough news:

Some people already have plans for these chunks that’ll help take dessert-eating to the next level. Twitter user @Cyntmatic wrote, “watch me end up just dumping the bag into a tub of ice cream,” which sounds amazing. And also a bit too familiar…

Considering how much fans such as Twitter user @paradisemndes love Ben & Jerry’s cookie dough, it’s no wonder there’s so much excitement surrounding this launch:

Keep your eyes peeled for these new flavors on your freezer aisle. Because the sooner you get these in your life, the better!
