You can now buy entire bags of banana Laffy Taffy

Finally! No more digging around for your favorite flavor. Laffy Taffy has officially announced that you can now buy bags full of the yellow banana-flavored Laffy Taffy! This comes after an April Fools’ prank that led fans to believe the delicious banana flavor may have been gone for good. But it turns out that not only is this flavor sticking around — it’s available to be purchased all on its own for the first time ever.

The makers of Laffy Taffy, Ferrara Candy Company, partnered with actor and comedian Joel McHale to announce the very important news. The build-up was seriously intense, however, as it began with a series of social media posts that had fans thinking the banana flavor may have disappeared forever.

It all started when McHale discovered an entire bag of Laffy Taffy without a single banana candy on Instagram:

Next came a post that questioned the existence of the beloved banana flavor:

But finally the prank was revealed and so was this new product — “Gone Bananas” banana-only packs by Laffy Taffy:

The news of the banana-only bags of candy dropped on Monday, April 1, and it had fans very relieved and excited. Twitter user @Ladylibra2575 said this news made a Monday have “Friday vibes”:
