Famed mouse mascot Chuck E. Cheese is about to get some competition. The Chuck E. Cheese’s entertainment chain announced it will be celebrating unicorns next month!
No, there won’t be a plush unicorn prancing about the game center while you nosh on pizza. But there will be a limited-time, colorful dessert available on the menu.
In honor of National Unicorn Day (yup, it’s April 9), Chuck E. Cheese’s is debuting a special pastel-swirled dessert: unicorn churros. Adding to the magic is the fact that you can get free unicorn churros on April 9 as long as you purchase 30 minutes of All You Can Play. (Instead of tokens, the All You Can Play option allows kids to play unlimited games for a set amount of time. It starts at $10 for 30 minutes.)
Can’t make it to Chuck E. Cheese’s on National Unicorn Day? No problem! The unicorn churros, which are dusted in pink, green and blue sugar, will be available at Chuck E. Cheese’s nationwide from April 8 to June 6.
Sugary unicorn-themed treats have become the dessert du jour, with colorful desserts ranging from unicorn cookie bars to unicorn fudge bars that you can make at home. Chuck E. Cheese’s rendition of the unicorn dessert trend comes in a unicorn cup. The churro sticks almost look like unicorn horns, dusted in cinnamon and sugar, of course.
To celebrate all things unicorns, Chuck E. Cheese’s is also running a promotion on social media. Style your hair to look like that of a unicorn horn and tag the photo on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter with the hashtag #UnicornItChallenge to potentially win a prize.
If it’s been a while since you’ve indulged in games and pizza at Chuck E. Cheese’s, the entertainment centers have been mixing things up with new decor and menu makeovers. Plus, did you know that you can order pizza from many Chuck E. Cheese’s locations and have it delivered via third-party delivery services like DoorDash, GrubHub or UberEats? You’ll want to go ahead and add some unicorn churros to your next delivery order!
