You can now rent Harry Potter’s childhood home on Airbnb

If you’ve ever wanted to immerse yourself in the world of Harry Potter, you should probably book yourself a flight to England. The home that was used as Lily and James Potter’s home in the movies series is now listed on the vacation home rental website Airbnb.

Yup. The same place where baby Harry Potter became “The Boy Who Lived” after surviving an attack by the dark wizard Voldemort is now available as lodging for your next overseas vacation. Known as the De Vere House, the landmark building is located in Lavenham, England, a quaint village that has more than 300 protected heritage properties, and which was also the shooting location for Godric’s Hollow, a fictional village from the films. One look at the De Vere House and Potter fans will feel firmly implanted within their favorite flick.

Of course, renters won’t have to worry about encountering dark magic or evil wizards at the De Vere House — just a delightful stay.

Guests will have a private bedroom with a double bed and access to a shared bathroom. Each of the two bedrooms on the property also has a four-poster bed with an en suite bathroom, a television, a log fireplace and a courtyard garden:

Each bedroom also has a private sitting room area where you can relax and enjoy the views:

And while the building may be located in a medieval village, the De Vere House listing says it’s a laptop-friendly workspace with Wi-Fi-enabled internet access.

Breakfast is provided by the hosts and guests can enjoy their meal in the beautiful dining room:

According to the listing, the owners of the home reside in the main house and love talking about its history. They also provide guidebooks on the surrounding village.

After breakfast, you can explore the rest of the home or venture out into the village to take in some museums, other historic homes or the local cuisine.

Guests have 24-hour access to the rental home thanks to a private entrance. Pets are not allowed on the property and the owners advise against younger children or people with mobility issues because of the home’s age and layout.

The best part of this home may be the price. With nightly rates listed below $150 a night, the De Vere House has star power without a Hollywood budget! No magic wand needed for this reasonable vacation.
