Zac Efron is getting his own Netflix show about travel and sustainability

Actor and singer Zac Efron is best known for his roles in the “High School Musical” trilogy, “Hairspray” and “17 Again.” Now, the multitalented star can add “travel guru” to his resume as he brings his own travel show to Netflix.

Titled “Down to Earth with Zac Efron,” the series will follow the entertainer as he travels around the world with wellness expert Darin Olien, exploring healthy and sustainable ways of life.

“In their quest, [Efron and Olien] visit France, Puerto Rico, Iceland, London, Costa Rica, Lima, Sardinia and Iquitos to discover what it means to make a difference in sustainability,” reads a press release on the show, according to Bustle.

Check out the official trailer for “Down to Earth with Zac Efron” in the video posted to YouTube by Netflix:

“Food, water and energy are all the main staples for modern life,” Efron says in the trailer. “We’re going to meet some top eco-innovators to see how change is an inside job.”

He added that the pair would be “eating really, really well,” as Efron and Olien will get the chance to try unique dishes from around the world, while learning about how we can make more environmentally sustainable choices.

“We need to start rethinking how we consume everything, from our food to our power,” Efron says in the trailer.

Efron has been an advocate for the environment for some time, and in April 2020, he hosted an hourlong special for Discovery, “The Global Cleanup,” in which other celebrities joined him to help clean up the planet in honor of Earth Day.

On Feb. 2, he tweeted about the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, which occurred on April 22 of this year. He asked his Twitter followers, “Who’s down to help?”

“Down to Earth with Zac Efron” premieres on Netflix on July 10. Will you check it out?
