For those of you who can’t but still want beautiful, obnoxiously bright-colored yoga clothes to show off in downward-facing dog, there are more reasonably-priced outlets. Here are four great places to get quality yoga clothing without bankrupting yourself shops like Lululemon.
1. Fabletics
Fabletics is an online women’s sportswear company founded by Kate Hudson. When you sign up for a membership, you get your first outfit for $25. Then, on the first of every month the company releases new outfits that have been chosen for your fitness style. If you don’t like the outfits, skip your membership for a month otherwise your credit card will be charged $59. Still, an entire 2-piece or 3-piece outfit for $59.00 is a good deal in the yoga world.
2. T.J. Maxx
I’ve found some of my best, loudest-colored yoga pants in T.J. Maxx. Check the sale rack first, because often yoga pants or designer bras will be marked down from their usual $25 or $40 to half or even two-thirds of the price. The store really does get great designer brands, which it turns around and sells for really affordable prices (so then you can actually afford to go to yoga after buying the clothes. *Bows down*). Just make sure that you check to see what the fabric is made of before purchasing — the downside to buying cheap yoga clothing is that sometimes you can’t dry them, and then they become a pain to care for.
3. Target
Everyone who has been to Tar-jhay (that French pronunciation is crucial) knows that it’s the queen of cheap, fashionable clothing. Their athletics selection is a bit bigger than T.J. Maxx, and they have both quality gear that’s a bit more expensive and a great sale rack.
4. Yoga Direct
This is an online wholesale yoga store that ships great yoga stuff directly to you. Oh, and the website has a buy-1-get-1-free section. I think that’s all that needs to be said.
