It’s a good time for that 1990s nostalgia. First, ‘NSync got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Then their boy band brethren, the Backstreet Boys, embarked on the most ambitious crossover event in history. (Sorry, Avengers.)

On their Backstreet Boys cruise (yes, that’s a thing) earlier this week, the band came out dressed as fellow pop icons the Spice Girls. And thankfully for those of us who still love the 90s, the band posted a picture on Instagram:

“Celebrating all of the girl power that’s kept us going for 25 years. #SpiceBoys” the post read.

And the resemblance is, well …

OK, so due in large part to the facial hair, the guys aren’t exactly doppelgangers. But their wardrobe is spot on.

Nick Carter was Baby Spice in a pink dress and a blonde wig; AJ McLean was Scary Spice in leopard print; Kevin Richardson was Posh Spice in all black; Howie Dorough was Ginger Spice in the spangly dress; and last but not least, Brian Littrell was down in front as Sporty Spice in the tank top.

The post has more than 85,000 likes, so apparently people do want it that way.

And the Boys weren’t done dressing up! They also posted a photo posing as various superheroes and villains:

Larger than life indeed.
