Dolly Parton has famously said, “It costs a lot of money to look this cheap,” referring to her signature style. If you’ve ever wanted to emulate Parton’s aesthetic, you will soon be able to do so with the launch of the entertainer’s lifestyle brand, which will reportedly include clothing, jewelry, housewares and accessories.

While no details have been released about potential products in the new line, we’re sure that Parton’s iconic big-haired, skin-tight, Americana-inspired vibe will easily come through.

The products will be a result of a multi-year partnership with IMG, which will serve as the star’s exclusive global licensing representative.

Parton confirmed the news on Twitter, writing, “I am excited to be working with IMG on a global scale to give my fans products they will cherish for years to come. You might even see my mug on a mug!”

Dolly’s manager, Danny Nozell, CEO of CTK Management also released a statement, reading, “I’m so excited for Dolly to partner with IMG globally. Dolly’s brand is already proven and we are excited to take it to the next level.”

Parton’s style is definitely something to be emulated, with its cowboy hats, denim, and glittery embellishments.

Harper’s Bazaar reports that she and Steve Summers, her creative director/wardrobe designer, design 300 outfits per year. That’s a lot of inspiration the line could draw from!

Parton’s larger-than-life style is so inspiring that many people have tried to copy her look over the years, including fellow singer Adele.

Adele posted a photo of herself dressed up as Parton on Instagram, and her rendition is pretty spot-on from a vintage standpoint:

Hopefully, the incredible outfit Adele is wearing in the photo is an indication of the type of fashion we will see from the new line. In fact, even Parton herself approved.

She posted the following video to Adele, writing in the caption, “Adele, you’re so fabulous! I will always love you!”

The forthcoming lifestyle brand is not the only new venture for the 73-year-old star.

Later this year, an eight-part series based on her music will premiere on Netflix. She will serve as singer and songwriter as well as executive producer and will also appear in some of the episodes.

Each episode will be titled and inspired by one of Parton’s songs. You can expect to see stories based on her famous tracks, “Jolene,” “These Old Bones, “J.J. Sneed,” “If I Had Wings,” “Two Doors Down,” “Cracker Jack,” “Sugar Hill” and “Down From Dover.”

“As a songwriter, I have always enjoyed telling stories through my music,” she said in a statement. “I am thrilled to be bringing some of my favorite songs to life with Netflix. We hope our show will inspire and entertain families and folks of all generations.”

These are just the latest new developments in Parton’s entertainment empire, of course. In addition to acting and writing and producing music, she owns her own record label, as well as several production and publishing companies.

Parton is a savvy businesswoman with a net worth of $500 million, thanks to ventures that include waterparks, dinner attractions and the Dollywood amusement park in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.

Ted Miller, a Dolly Parton Productions partner and business manager, told the Knoxville News-Sentinel that when she got involved with that venture and started making changes to the park, “she had an intuitive ability to assess what people want, expect, like.”

We hope that sentiment remains true as Parton embarks on this next phase. We can’t wait to see what she comes up with next!
