Chip and Joanna Gaines have a new HGTV show starting in April, Here’s What We Know

It was a sad day when Chip and Joanna Gaines announced their popular HGTV series “Fixer Upper” would be coming to an end in April. But, fans will soon be able to cover that hole in their heart with shiplap, because the beloved couple has a brand new show coming soon!

This new companion series, called “Fixer Upper: Behind the Design,” will feature behind-the-scenes moments that show more of how Joanna comes up with her gorgeous designs. Finally, a glimpse into what goes on in that head of hers!

The show will start airing on April 10 on HGTV and will follow reruns of “Fixer Upper.”

15 New Episodes Set To Air

According to People magazine, the show is slated to have 15 episodes that run 30 minutes each. So, you know what that means? Ninety full minutes of Chip and Jo! Now, that’s quality television.

Joanna first announced the news last year in an Instagram video and explained what the show will be like.

HGTV posted a sneak-peek video to Facebook soon thereafter, as if fans weren’t already excited enough.

Fixer Upper Fans Happy To Keep Getting Their Fix

Needless to say, “Fixer Upper” lovers are freaking out over this news.

“OMG!!! Made my day,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

The Growing Gaines Family Empire

And even though “Fixer Upper” is coming to a close soon, there’s a lot to look forward to for the Gaines family. They are not going to be sitting back and taking a vacation any time soon!

First of all, Chip and Joanna are expecting their fifth child, The happy dad-to-be couldn’t keep his excitement to himself back in January!

Recently, they  opened a breakfast/brunch restaurant in Texas. Magnolia Table is serving up some incredible-looking comfort food down in Waco, Texas. As you can see from this Instagram post from foodies Rochelle and James Heikkila, this food is no joke.

Plus, their collection continues to sell at Target, too—in fact they just recently launched their spring collection, which includes these pretty jade dessert bowls.

Phew, I’m tired just writing all of this. Can you imagine what this busy duo is feeling?

It’s as good a time as any to be a “Fixer Upper” fan.

The final season of “Fixer Upper” debuted on Nov. 21 and is scheduled to end on April 3.
