Kristen Bell Takes ‘Frozen’ Spirit to Hurricane Irma

There are already plenty of reasons to love Kristen Bell. Maybe it’s her wit, her hilarious reaction to sloths and her admirable relationship with Dax Shepard. But fans can now add another wonderful reason to their lists.

Bell got trapped by Hurricane Irma in Florida while filming the “The Feather.”  She didn’t spend her time holed up and ordering room service. Instead, Bell sang “Frozen” songs to Irma evacuees and got the senior home residents sheltered at her hotel to have some fun.

“We didn’t have the option to leave so here we are,” Bell wrote on Instagram on Saturday, captioning a picture of her hurricane prep. “Just doing our best and trying to stay positive but cautious, and trying to help those who need help prepping. Every person I passed today was assisting someone else … it was beautiful to see.”

Bell kickstarted a bingo game and some midnight wheelchair races with the seniors staying at the same hotel as her. Then she swung by a middle school in Orlando over the weekend to sing a few songs for the evacuees sheltered there.

Bells shares evacuation entertainment on social media

Luckily for the rest of us, a few people posted videos and pictures of her Hurricane Irma hijinks on Twitter. Now we can all enjoy the heartwarming moments.

Here’s Bell on stage with some evacuee backup singers. They’re belting out “For the First Time in Forever” from “Frozen.” The tweet is courtesy of Meadow Woods Middle School:

Bell also posted a few photos and videos of her time spent with new friends. Some include dinner, bingo and plenty of hugs with the evacuees:

Clearly, Bell knows how to “let it go” even when it comes to hurricane worries. Here’s to making the best out of a bad situation and keeping others’ spirits up when life gets hard!
