Chip and Joanna Gaines have a way of getting us in the mood to revamp our homes. You can now find mason jars, shiplap and vintage vases in homes all across America, and Joanna’s line at Target made it possible.
If you’re a fan of the show—and pretty much anything the Gaineses do—you’re going to love this parody video. Because yeah, it pokes fun at how powerless we are in the face of Chip and Joanna’s inspiring DIY ideas!
The video was created by the comedienne duo Leeann & Michelle. It features Joanna Gaines “zombies” who want to cover everything in shiplap and who think open shelving is the only way to go. Sounds about right!
As if that wasn’t hilarious enough, the pair changed the lyrics to Taylor Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do” to fully capture the mesmerizing effect “Fixer Upper” has on its fans.
Press play on the video below and prepare to laugh out loud (as you nod your head and say, “Yep, that’s me after a ‘Fixer Upper’ binge.”)
Now that you’ve watched this hilarious video, you may find yourself humming “What would Chip and Joanna do?” to yourself for the next few hours. We certainly will be!
The video has been viewed nearly 4 million times, and as you might imagine—it’s got “Fixer Upper” fans everywhere cracking up.
Some people have picked out their favorite parts. “My fave part,” one Facebook user wrote, “Why? BC THEYRE [sic] CHALK PAINTING.” Chalk painting is a perfectly acceptable excuse not to answer the phone, after all.
There are plenty of fans who can relate to the women in the video. “haha omg I can so relate,” one Facebook user wrote.
This isn’t the first time fans have proven just how devoted they are to this beloved HGTV show, either. There were kids, adults and even dogs who dressed up as Chip and Joanna for Halloween, proving how much everyone loves this home-renovating couple.
Just look at these toddlers who let Chip and Jo inspire their trick-or-treating look.
And these puppies? They’re seriously too cute.
Is this #CoupleGoals or what?
