This little girl thought a bride on the street was the princess from her favorite book

A 2-year-old in Seattle was mesmerized when she saw the princess from her book come to life in the city. The princess, it turns out, was a bride taking wedding photos, and she made the moment magical for the little girl.

Last year, new bride Shandace and her hubby Scott said “I Do” and then hit the Seattle streets for a wedding-day photo shoot.

“We were just walking around when we noticed a little girl staring at the bride in admiration,” wedding photographer Stephanie Cristalli told The Seattle Times.

“The little girl thought my beautiful wife was the princess from her favorite book—the one she’s holding,” the new groom wrote on Imgur. The bride took a few minutes from the biggest day of her life to chat with the adorable toddler.

They had a few sweet moments, and Shandace decided to share a bit of her bridal bouquet with her new friend.

The photographer and newlyweds didn’t catch the little girl’s name, and they were hoping to share the photos with the family, so they posted them online. According to the Seattle Times, one of the toddler’s daycare teachers saw the photos on Reddit, and the family can now cherish them as a keepsake.

Inside Edition caught up with the little girl’s mom: “It was just very sweet to watch her see the princess that Shandace had become in her eyes,” she said. “Imagine meeting one of your idols on the street—that is what our daughter was feeling.”

Maybe after this encounter, it’s time to show the little girl the classic film “The Princess Bride” to remind her of her new friend Shandace. Can you believe the beloved film starring Cary Elwes and Robin Wright is 30 years old?! Inconceivable! Your little princess can celebrate with a special edition “Princess Bride” coloring book.
