Miley Cyrus’ Mom And Sister Are Starring In A New Home Decor Reality Show
Like most headlines involving singer and actress Miley Cyrus, this one is taking many people by surprise. Some members of the Cyrus family will be back on TV in just weeks—and no, this is not a remake of “Hannah Montana,” which skyrocketed Miley to stardom (despite what all 90s kids were secretly hoping for).
This time around, Miley’s mom Tish Cyrus and Miley’s older half-sister Brandi Cyrus share their passion for interior design to give mostly Nashville residents a Cyrus-inspired home makeover. Their experience as decorators, however, seems to be limited to their own homes. Oh well! We’re willing to give them a shot.
Back to the show. Bravo, the network taking on this project, released its first trailer for the show, “Cyrus vs. Cyrus: Design and Conquer.” It shows Tish and Brandi tearing down walls… yes, like a wrecking ball… rolling out new area rugs and arguing about decorating budgets. In each 30-minute episode, Tish and Brandi both pitch their decor ideas to their clients, but the client only picks one design. The losing Cyrus is then forced to be an assistant designer to the other Cyrus.
Mother-daughter drama here we go!
The 90-second trailer shows competition and a little combativeness, but no hair pulling is involved. We have to say, the few redecorated rooms we saw do look awesome!
Now the big question—where is Miley in all of this? According to the trailer, Miley does stop by for a decorating session or two (although she’s not rolling up her sleeves to help). So far there are no signs of Miley’s father Billy Ray Cyrus, whose latest album, “Thin Line,” was released in 2016.
These Cyrus folks are busy! Miley is still a big player on TV. She’s expected to return as a coach on NBC’s “The Voice” in the fall of 2017. Miley’s little sister and the youngest Cyrus, Noah, is also working to launch a music career of her own.
“Cyrus vs. Cyrus: Design and Conquer” premieres on Bravo on May 25.
