New Makeup Product Has A 25,000 Person Wait List

It’s a company’s dream to have thousands of customers lined up to buy its product before it even launches, and that dream has become a reality for one Canadian-based makeup line.

And it’s not a fun new shade of lipstick or magic, eye-popping mascara fans are waiting for. Nope. People are eagerly awaiting… foundation.

Toronto-based brand The Ordinary, which is under the parent company DECIEM, is one of the few companies to offer what would be expensive medical-grade skincare formulas and foundations for much, much less. And of course, any makeup that is good for your skin and is affordable is something women will go crazy for.

And that’s just what is happening.

According to Refinery 29, the two new foundations The Ordinary is set to release have racked up a waiting list over 25,000 people long, making this company and their products anything but ordinary.

So why all the hype over something you slather on your face? These two new foundations will be the first foray into color for the company, which pretty much has a cult-like following for its skincare products already.

The Serum Foundation is pretty straightforward. It’s a light-weight formula, or rather serum, that will help tone down any redness or blemishes in the skin but will be light enough that your skin’s natural glow can still radiate through.

The Coverage Foundation is a little heavier because it’s packed with pigment. Unlike the Serum Foundation, it has a creamier texture. It’s for those who prefer to have just a little more coverage.

Both of the new foundations have SPF15 and will be available in 21 different shades across the complexion spectrum.

In addition, all of The Ordinary’s products are free of parabens, sulphates, mineral oil, methylchloroisothiazolinone, methylisothiazolinone, animal oils, benzalkonium chloride, coal tar dyes, formaldehyde, mercury and oxybenzone. Which is what people claim to like most about the products they sell.

Well, it’s that and the prices, which are crazy inexpensive!  It’s hard to find quality makeup that’s affordable, which is probably another reason why The Ordinary has such a loyal following.

The two new foundations will retail for only $6.70 and $6.90, which is a small price to pay for good quality makeup.

As it’s said, some things in life are worth the wait and these foundations are no exception.
