Oreo’s Marshmallow Moon cookies are here for a limited time

It has been almost exactly 50 years since astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin first set foot on the moon as part of the Apollo 11 mission. The world watched on July 20, 1969 as Neil Armstrong famously spoke the first words from the surface of the moon: “That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.”

To honor this milestone anniversary, you’ll find a variety of food items on store shelves and new menu items at restaurants like Krispy Kreme and Dunkin’. From doughnuts and coffee to ice cream, beer and other goodies, celebrating the moon landing has never been more delicious!

Also getting in on the fun is Nabisco’s Oreo, which has released a brand new cookie that not only has a new flavor, but also sports a special design and packaging. The new Marshmallow Moon Oreo cookie features three moon-landing designs with purple marshmallow creme inside.

I tasted them a while ago thanks to Oreo and can confirm they’re delicious (obviously), but also sweeter than a normal Oreo. The marshmallow creme is the perfect mixture of regular Oreo creme with a hint of marshmallow flavor.

As a bonus for space aficionados, the package even glows in the dark and comes with an anniversary sticker set. Marshmallow Moon Oreo cookies will only be around for a limited time, so make sure you grab them soon.

Along with the doughnuts and coffee from Krispy Kreme and Dunkin’, you can also find new moon landing-themed beers from Budweiser (Budweiser Discovery Reserve, a hoppy red lager with toasted barley malt and toffee flavors) and Elysian Brewing (it’s rebranding its Space Dust IPA with three special labels, but only in certain markets).

With the moon landing anniversary only days away, make sure you hurry and grab all these limited-time treats to stock your kitchen before they’re gone.

Will you be trying the new Marshmallow Moon Oreo cookies?
