Sonic’s new Cheesecake Blasts look like a deliciously creamy treat

Summer is nearly here and Sonic Drive-In is celebrating with a brand new ice cream treat perfect for the season: Cheesecake Blasts!

The new Cheesecake Blasts start with sweet and creamy cheesecake pieces and graham crackers swirled into ice cream. They are then topped with even more cheesecake and graham crackers for a true cheesecake taste and experience — all in just one cup.

The new Cheesecake Blasts come in Classic or Strawberry and are available at Sonic restaurants nationwide through June 27. You can also customize them by either removing ingredients or adding others, like cookie dough, peanut butter, hot fudge and whipped cream.

The fast-food chain is also putting a Southwestern twist on two of its classic menu items to create the new Twisted Texan Cheeseburger and Footlong Quarter Pound Coney.

The Twisted Texan Cheeseburger is made with a 100% pure beef patty, topped with Sonic’s Signature chili, melty American cheese and crispy onion strings, all layered on a toasted bakery bun. The Twisted Texan Footlong Quarter Pound Coney also includes chili, melty cheddar cheese and crispy onion strings on a footlong, quarter-pound coney in a warm, bakery bun.

Both $3.99, the burger and hot dog are only available until May 30. You can try one for half-price with a reward you’ll find online and in the Sonic App.

While all these new items are for a limited time only, Sonic’s permanent menu includes a variety of other Blasts flavors, like Oreo, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup, Snickers and Butterfinger. You’ll also find a traditional chili cheese dog and footlong quarter pound coney, plus burgers, chicken sandwiches and a variety of sides.

Sonic is also releasing a line of hard seltzers in its slushie flavors. Coming in two different variety 12-packs, Tropical and Citrus, flavors include ocean water, orange pineapple, mango guava, melon medley, cherry limeade, classic lemonade, lemon berry and original limeade. They will be available in grocery stores in select states.
