Looking for a delicious fall dessert but don’t want to spend a ton of time in the kitchen? We often think we have to spend hours toiling away to pull together a memorable, homemade dessert. But there’s nothing wrong with taking a pre-made mix and adding a little boost to transform an ordinary cake into something extraordinarily good.

We found an oh-so-simple recipe for Easy Apple Bread from Betty Crocker that you can have in the oven within 20 minutes! Not only that but the ingredients you need to make this dessert — filled with fabulous fall flavors — are either already in your pantry or easily found at the supermarket.

Bread Ingredients

  • 1 box Betty Crocker Super Moist yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2 cups coarsely shredded, peeled tart apples (about 2 medium apples)

Topping Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Directions

Mixing together this bread is as simple as dumping all of the ingredients (minus the apples) into a bowl and combining it into a smooth batter. Then, add your shredded apples for a shot of flavor and the perfect texture.

Follow the official recipe to make the topping and spread it on the batter before baking. After less than an hour in the oven, you’ll have two loaves of apple-cinnamon bread that will be hard to resist. And with two loaves, you’ll have one to give to a friend and one to keep for yourself!

And if that’s not enough apple deliciousness for you, how about trying an Apple Cinnamon Bubble-Up dessert?

This twist on the old-fashioned apple pie needs only six ingredients, one of which is Pillsbury Cinnamon Roll dough. Keep that oven warm, because we have this recipe spelled out for you, too!

With apples in season throughout the fall, it’s the perfect time to give both of these recipes a try.
