You Can Book A 4-Day Cruise With Bon Jovi
This is it, Bon Jovi fans: Your chance to spend four nights on a Bon Jovi-themed cruise — including two concerts with the man himself.
The “Runaway to Paradise” cruise sets sail from Miami on April 12 aboard the Norwegian Jade. There’s a one-day stop in Nassau, Bahamas, then it’s back to Miami April 16.
Jon Bon Jovi will play two shows on the Jade’s pool deck. One’s an acoustic set with a Q&A session; the other is a full-on rock show with his band, The Kings of Suburbia.
Dubbed the “JBJ 360 Experience,” Bon Jovi’s presence is felt even when he’s not onstage. Happy hours and wine tastings feature the rocker’s Hampton Water wines. Guests can book a meal at the JBJ Soul Kitchen, a pop-up version of Bon Jovi’s community-minded restaurants. Bon Jovi memorabilia will be on display in the JBJ Gallery, and cruisers can shop the boutique for his denim brand, Hart N Dagger.
In case you were wondering, Bon Jovi will not be staying on the ship during the cruise. The cruise’s FAQ says he’ll be shuttling to and from the ship for his shows. So if you were hoping to run into him in the hallway in his bathrobe and slippers — I’m sorry.
“Runaway to Paradise” joins the growing fleet of pop-music cruises. The first one I ever heard of was “Holy Ship!“, a 2012 electronic dance music cruise that still sails annually. There are so many more, though. Classic rock cruises. Eighties hair-metal cruises. A flotilla of country-music cruises. A hip-hop cruise with superstars Cardi B and Post Malone sails this summer.
But you’re charmed by the rocker and it’s Bon Jovi cruise you crave, you’d better book your tickets soon. “Runaway to Paradise” embarks in just a couple of weeks, and tickets are almost sold out. Don’t be sad: if you miss out this time, there’s another planned for later this year in the Mediterranean.
I just want to note that I wrote an entire post about a Bon Jovi ocean cruise and didn’t make a single “Slippery When Wet” joke. You’re welcome.
