If you’re anything like me, Pinterest is already your go-to for recipes and decoration ideas, but you also need to make it the go-to-place for beauty tips.
One search of “makeup hacks” will open up a whole new world of tips and tricks that will greatly decrease the amount of time that you have to spend in front of the mirror each morning. Sounds good, doesn’t it? You bet it does!
So, here are just seven ideas to show you what’s in store for your makeup routine.
1. Find Your Shade
Apparently, testing a shade on your neck will give you a closer depiction of what shade you actually need than testing it on the back of your arm will. Who knew?
2. Get Thicker Lashes
Using a bit of baby powder or translucent powder in between layers of mascara will give you a fuller looking lash line. Good to know! Now there’ll be no wasting time by coating those lashes in mascara just to wind up with clumps! Use powder instead. Noted.
3. Travel With Q-Tips
Applying eye shadow with Q-Tips and placing them in a plastic bag is much easier for on-the-go makeup application than carrying around an entire eye shadow palette, don’t you think?
4. Save Your Broken Makeup
We’ve all felt our stomachs drop as we watch our powdered makeup containers drop to the floor. But, just because your pressed powder winds up in pieces doesn’t mean that it’s no longer usable. In fact, you can get it good as new by adding a little rubbing alcohol to the pieces. Then, just use a spoon to make sure it’s evenly spread out and let it sit overnight. There. It’s like you never even dropped it! What a lifesaver, huh?
5. Extend The Life Of Mascara
You know you need to go to the store to get new mascara, but you just haven’t had a chance to, yet. Don’t feel like you have to leave the house with your lashes bare, you can extend the life of your mascara by adding a few eye drops to it. Your lashes are spared (at least for a little longer)!
6. Make Your Own BB Cream
If you’re looking for full coverage, you can make your concealer go a long way. All you have to do is mix a little facial moisturizer and a little concealer together to create your own tinted moisturizer that will give you a flawless complexion.
7. Keep Eye Cream In The Fridge
If you keep your eye cream in the fridge, you’ll be de-puffing underneath your eyes the moment you apply the lotion. Plus, it’ll feel amazing!
So, go on and open up a tab for Pinterest already. You’ve got a makeup hack or two (hundred) that are just begging to be pinned by you!
