Chad Michael Murray from ‘One Tree Hill’ is starring in a Hallmark Christmas movie

Fans of “One Tree Hill” who have been missing the hit series can expect to see a familiar face on their television screens this coming holiday season.

On Monday, Entertainment Weekly broke the news that “One Tree Hill” veteran Chad Michael Murray will star in the Hallmark Channel movie “The Wise Men,” alongside Jessy Schram of “Veronica Mars” fame. “The Wise Men” will be one of 36 Christmas flicks that Hallmark will air this year, according to Entertainment Weekly.

In “The Wise Men,” Maggie, played by Schram, has to make sure her boss’s three adult sons make it home in time for Christmas. She embarks on a cross-country trip and, when a blizzard hits, enlists the help of the oldest son and her co-worker Danny, played by Murray. As the pair navigates the snowstorm, a romantic connection between them is born.

But Murray, who appeared recently in ABC’s “Agent Carter,” isn’t the only “One Tree Hill” alum to star in a Christmas movie this year. Last month, Lifetime announced that former OTH stars Danneel Ackles, Hilarie Burton, Robert Buckley, and Antwon Tanner will reunite for the holiday flick, “The Christmas Contract,” according to Deadline. Filming for “The Christmas Contract” began in early June in Louisiana.

“One Tree Hill” fans could look forward to a happy holiday season.
