You Can Get Paid $100 An Hour To Play With Puppies If You Land This Sweet Gig

Cuddling puppies is something most people are willing to do voluntarily. But what if you could actually get paid handsomely to snuggle up with some canines?

Well, it turns out that you actually can. Mutts Canine Cantina, a Texas restaurant with a dog park is hiring for a “Pupternship” that pays $100 an hour to play with dogs at their Fort Worth location. Although it sounds too good to be true, the opportunity is real.

While the restaurant already has “Bark Rangers” on hand to watch customers’ dogs, supply them with water and even pick up their poop, this new role would be a temporary internship, requiring the Puptern to simply greet customers and offer to play with and pet their dogs.

According to a post on the Mutts Cantina Instagram page, a prospective candidate applies for the gig by posting a photo or video demonstrating their puppy-petting skills while tagging @muttscantina and using the hashtag #MUTTSpuptern. Submissions will be accepted until Nov. 12.

“Creativity is encouraged — tell us why you’re the best fit for the position in your caption!” the caption reads.

“There aren’t many opportunities out there that pay interns to strictly play with dogs all day long,” Kyle Noonan, co-founder of Mutts Canine Cantina, said in a press release. “Typically, there may be other responsibilities that come with the job, but not this one. I’d be lying if I said this is going to be one ‘ruff’ internship.”

Wow! In addition to excellent pay, the Puptern will also receive complimentary food from the restaurant.
