Pumpkin Spice Frosted Flakes Are On Their Way To Your Grocery Store’s Shelves
Look around and you’ll see the first signs of autumn arriving. No, temperatures aren’t dipping and leaves aren’t falling from trees yet — but pumpkin spice-flavored products will start dominating shelves at your grocery store sooner than you expect.
The latest new pumpkin spice treat to be announced is Pumpkin Spice Frosted Flakes from Kellogg’s. The company has already experimented with Cinnamon and Chocolate Frosted Flakes, so it was only a matter of time before this happened.
In an email, Kellogg’s told Simplemost that Pumpkin Spice Frosted Flakes will be available nationwide starting in September and will only be available for a limited time.
The new cereal made its surprise debut online thanks to a New York grocery store. The Instagram account of one Met Foodmarket location showed off a box of them on May 30.

In the photo, you can see the box is a sample size (notice the message in the bottom left corner).
Wondering what Pumpkin Spice Frosted Flakes will taste like? Kellogg’s described the cereal as having “a warm pumpkin spice frosting” that coats the typical corn flakes. The company also said the new variety “has caramelized pumpkin aromatics delivering brown sweet cinnamon and a touch of allspice and ginger.”
We’re intrigued!
A couple days after Met Foodmarket showed off its sample, Instagram food writer Markie Devo also previewed the new cereal, saying he was so-so on the cereal itself but that the milk it left over was a perfect 10/10.

Devo also said “you get a strong pumpkin spice essence” as soon as you open the bag, which sounds like a win.
Will you be giving Pumpkin Spice Frosted Flakes a shot this fall — or do you think that flavor belongs only in your Starbucks lattes?
