Low-carb jicama wraps are perfect for making keto-friendly tacos
When you’re following the keto diet, it’s essential to find tasty replacements to substitute for all your favorite carb-laden foods. If you thought tortillas or wraps were out of the question on this ultra-low-carb food plan, think again.
Trader Joe’s offers jicama wraps, and they have just one net carb per two-wrap serving. They’re also vegan and gluten-free to boot! They’re sold in a package of 12 wraps for $3.99. They’re perfect for tacos, sandwiches, quesadillas and any other low-carb snack you can dream up.

The only ingredient in the wraps is pure jicama, a root vegetable with a thin, golden-brown skin and starchy interior. It has a subtle nutty and sweet flavor, and its taste and texture is often compared to a cross between a potato and a pear.
In addition to being low-carb, jicama is low in calories and packed with fiber and as well as vitamin C, folate, iron, magnesium, potassium and manganese. These properties offer a host of health benefits, including protection against cell damage that leads to disease, improved heart health and better digestion.
Collin of Hip2Keto tried them out, and you can check out her review in the YouTube clip below:
“You can wrap them up with any goodness you want!” she declares in the video, showing that the wraps effortlessly hold together a healthy serving of taco filling.
“Jicama is one of the best veggies to enjoy when you’re eating keto!” reads the video’s description. “It’s versatile, super low-carb, and gives you that delicious crunch that I know so many of us crave.”
Another YouTube reviewer, Jazmyne-Symone at YEEKSONKETO, also praised the crunch, saying, “Tastes so good!” In her video, she seasoned and blackened shrimp for her tacos.
