3 Musketeers Launches New Birthday Cake Flavor

If you’re not into pumpkin spice everything, we have good news. Not only are pumpkins about to be so last season in favor of peppermint, but there also seems to be a new flavor trend beginning — and it is a serious reason to celebrate.

From Oreos to popcorn to cereal to cheesecake to chewy candy, birthday cake flavor just might be taking over! And it looks like the latest inductees into the club are 3 Musketeers candy bars. Their new birthday cake flavor is actually the first new flavor from the brand in six years.

Instead of the usual light, chocolate-flavored nougat, 3 Musketeers birthday cake flavor features vanilla-flavored nougat and colorful sprinkles, all covered in milk chocolate. Plus, the wrapper is pretty fun, too:

“The birthday cake flavor is a growing trend and one that we knew would be a perfect center to the iconic 3 Musketeers bar,” 3 Musketeers brand manager Rosemary Nocito said in a press release. “Our mission is to spread small moments of joy with our fans and this latest flavor brings that celebratory feeling to the everyday.”

The 3 Musketeers birthday cake flavor is currently only available at Walmart. It will roll out nationally in January 2019 and be available in a share size bar and miniatures.

As to be expected, some people are thoroughly excited to get their hands on the 3 Musketeers birthday cake flavor candy bar. @savitsky gave the news an “OMG” on Twitter:

But not everyone is on board with the birthday cake trend. @mokabu basically gave it a virtual eye roll:

The official verdict on the candy bars is, of course, up in the air until everyone gives it a taste test come January.
