This couple delivered their ‘Little Nugget’ in a Chick-Fil-A bathroom

Fried chicken fans Robert and Falon Griffin purchased a “Little Nugget” Chick-fil-A onesie for their soon-to-be-born daughter three months ago — completely unaware of how fitting it would actually become.

The beloved fast-food joint became even dearer to their hearts than anyone could have imagined when their daughter was born in the bathroom of a San Antonio Chick-fil-A on Tuesday, July 17.

It’s an unforgettable story filled with humor and drama, and it will certainly be told throughout the life of this little lady. When Falon began having intense contractions, she and her husband headed for San Antonio’s University Hospital. Before arriving, they stopped at the Chick-fil-A parking lot to drop off their two older daughters with a friend.

Falon needed to use the bathroom, and despite being closed, the Chick-fil-A employees let her in to use the facilities. Once she was in, baby Gracelyn was ready to come out.

The whole story can be found on father, Robert’s, Facebook page.

“I didn’t know I was going to have a baby in there! I was going to the restroom,” Falon told local ABC news station KSAT 12.

As the store director, Brenda Enriquez, was about to call 911, she opened the bathroom door and realized what was going on. That’s when Robert stepped in and became a hero.

“I looked at her [his wife] and said, ‘We’re going to do it right here, right now,'” Robert told the reporters.

Falon started to panic.

“I’m in excruciating pain. He’s not skilled. I don’t know what’s about to happen right now. I don’t know if she’s going to come out alive,” she recalled.

Robert, who had no medical experience, managed to not only deliver the baby in the restaurant’s bathroom but also save her life.

“I stopped her at her shoulders because I saw what looked to be a white collar around her neck twice,” Robert explained.

Not wanting to alarm his wife, he “told her try to relax for a minute” and then was “somehow able to unwrap the cord from the baby’s neck.”

At 10:30 p.m., Gracelyn Mae Violet Griffin was born, healthy and breathing normally. The father used his shirt to wrap up his newborn daughter until paramedics arrived 15 minutes later.

The sweet story doesn’t end there: This baby will now have free Chick-fil-A for life, and she’s guaranteed a job with the chain once she turns 14.

“Her birth certificate reads ‘Born in Chick-fil-A’ and the hospital had me sign the birth certificate as the attending physician,” Robert wrote in his Facebook post.

What an incredible story!
