Surprise your ‘Golden Girls’-loving Valentine with a yard full of red ‘Roses’

Prime Party

If you happen to have a Valentine this year that is truly obsessed with all things “The Golden Girls,” we have the perfect gift for you — a dozen red “Roses.” As in cutouts of Rose Nylund, played by Betty White in the beloved TV show, for their yard.

The kit from Prime Party includes 12 Roses that stand at over 22 inches tall by 12 inches wide and includes a yard sign that says “A Dozen Red Roses Just for You.” They’re made of commercial-grade corrugated plastic material and fade-resistant ink, so they should hold up against the elements.

Of course, something this amazing doesn’t come cheap, as the set sells for $99.99 at regular price, plus shipping. As of this writing, the whole set was on sale for $79.99, however.

If the price tag is a bit much for you, they also have an option that comes as a picture of the dozen red Roses in a single yard sign for $19.99.

You may also want to consider pairing actual roses with a few other “Golden Girls” gifts for your own play on the theme.

If you have a Costco near you, you can get 50 roses (the actual flowers this time) for just $55 ($57 for non-members), or 50 roses for $49 at Sam’s Club. You could then pair them with some fun gifts inspired by the series, like bobbleheadsshot glasses or Chia Pets. You can even find a “Golden Girls” sunshade for their car and a tiki mug set.

Target

Of course, you can still stick to some traditional Valentine’s Day gifts that even a fan of “The Golden Girls” would appreciate.

Candy is always a winner and this year, Hershey’s has a few new goodies, like rose-shaped Reese’s Cups and Hershey’s Kisses Meltaway Roses. Target also has some sweet treats, like heart-shaped strawberries-and-cream hot cocoa bombs, chocolate that looks like an avocado and a Wine is My Valentine gift pack, which includes three 187-milliliter bottles of rose, chardonnay and red blend wines for just $9.99.

You can even send a personalized, heart-shaped box of M&M’s to your Valentine or get your hands on these gorgeous heart-shaped chocolate bonbons at Sam’s Club if you’re looking for some fancier treats. In four flavors — fresh strawberry, cherry cordial, sea salt caramel and toasted coconut — each set contains 20 chocolates for $8.98.

Sam's Club

If you’ll be spending a whole day with your Valentine, you can also whip up some tasty treats yourself, like this vanilla strawberry heart cake, these chocolate-covered strawberry brownies or, even easier, Pillsbury’s heart-shaped sugar cookie dough or cutout sugar cookies that you can decorate yourself.
