Adele’s 30th Birthday Party Was ‘Titanic’-Themed And The Photos Are Epic
The dress, the staircase, frozen eyebrows and below-deck dancing were included!
My 20s are nearly over and in less than a year, I’ll be moving on to the next decade. I’m trying not to think about it too much, but I’ve been perusing party ideas. Nothing has seemed to fit — that was, until I saw how Grammy-award winner Adele just celebrated her 30th birthday, and now my entire life makes sense.
The theme? “Titanic,” only my favorite movie ever made — and apparently Adele’s too. From the grand staircase to pretty much one of the exact outfits worn by Rose DeWitt Bukater in the film, photos posted to Adele’s Instagram account show no detail was missed.
Dirty 30! I’m not sure what I’m going to do for the next 30 years as I’ve been blessed beyond words in my life so far. Thank you to everyone for coming along for the ride the last 11 years with me. My family and friends for entertaining my super fandom of the Titanic movie. Last night was the best night of my life. Here’s a couple pics. I’m absolutely fucked, not sure I’ll make it out the house again! Ps Childish Gambino how the hell do you have time to offer us so much greatness on so many platforms. I adore you x
Here’s a look at the dress from “Titanic” that she was mimicking:
I mean, seriously, just take a look at the detail in Adele’s dress. It’s absolutely stunning! And her hair was pretty much identical, too.
Along with the photos, Adele wrote, “Dirty 30! I’m not sure what I’m going to do for the next 30 years as I’ve been blessed beyond words in my life so far. Thank you to everyone for coming along for the ride the last 11 years with me. My family and friends for entertaining my super fandom of the Titanic movie. Last night was the best night of my life.”
The singer even managed to squeeze in a recreation of the movie’s below-deck party that Rose attended with the third-class ticket holders. No word on if she was able to balance on her toes, but this is Adele we’re talking about, so I wouldn’t put it past her.
Some party guests also posted photos, like musician Mark Ronson who was rather chilly at the party and had some “ice” stuck to his hair and eyebrows.
Having already dragged my friends to a Titanic museum for my birthday last year, it seems an entire theme party is my obvious next step as well, yes? Who knew Adele and I had so much in common!
Happy Birthday, new BFF!
