These Before-And-After Photos Show Weight-Loss Results Through Intermittent Fasting

Would you try intermittent fasting to lose weight?

If there’s one thing the internet loves, it’s hopping on the latest diet trend. Social media platforms like Instagram are clogged with photos of users’ meal preps and recipe ideas. However, amid the Whole 30 and DASH Diet hype, one weight loss strategy has quietly been gaining steam — and it might surprise you to know that it’s been around for thousands of years.

Intermittent fasting has gained popularity as a diet, not because it’s been endorsed by a celebrity, but because its approach to eating is steeped in science. Rather than focusing on eliminating certain foods or restricting calories, intermittent fasting works by limiting the hours in the day in which you are free to eat. According to recent research, restricting the hours or days that you eat may help with weight loss, as well as improve your blood pressure and your body’s response to sugar.

Although intermittent fasting, or IF, is often referred to as a diet, it’s technically more of an eating pattern, since you are free to consume whatever you’d like during your non-fasting eating periods. Some people use IF in conjunction with another diet, such as the keto diet, while others try to eat as they normally would. There is also a more extreme version of intermittent fasting called alternate-day fasting that requires you to fast for a 24-hour period.

No matter what approach to fasting you take, success seems possible if you’re disciplined enough to stick with it. Just look at some of these stories and progression pics from Instagram users who’ve lost weight using intermittent fasting.

1. A 70-Pound Weight Loss Over Eight Months

It’s really hard for me to find a picture from my “olden days” where I wore tight fitting clothing because it wasn’t an option for me. I hated wearing anything that clung to my body. So trying to do a body comparison from then and now is a little more difficult. However, it makes me feel a little better about my progress. Eight months of fasting and a lot hard work is starting to pay off. . #intermittentfasting #alterndatedayfasting #ADF #IF #fasting #fitnessmotivation #fitnessinspiration #lifestylechange #weightlossjourney #naturalweightloss #weightloss #weightlossmotivation #weightlosstransformation #fitnessjourney #50poundsdown #50pluspoundsdown #60poundsdown #60pluspoundsdown #70poundsdown #70pluspoundsdown #youtuber #vlogger #dailyvlogger #igtransformations #doingthisforme

4. It’s Hard To Believe This Is The Same Person

On the days I feel like giving up I look back for motivation & all of a sudden that fire in me re-ignites 🔥👊🏼 fuck EVER going backwards! . If it CHALLENGES you, TESTS you & PUSHES you DAILY…not only physically but mentally Then it’s HELPING you become more of what you’re MENT TO BE 😌👌🏼 . We can either spend time making ourselves miserable or spend time making ourselves STRONG, the amount of input/effort is the same 🧠 . My personal journey has taken just over two years, I’ve had good days & bad days, I’ve felt on cloud nine & hit rock bottom, I’ve laughed throughout & cried a lot, I’ve pushed my body beyond my comfort zone, I’ve under-eaten, over-eaten, over trained & had days where I don’t feel like training at all. I’ve taken huge steps forward then afew steps back, I’ve moaned & bitched in the gym when I cba lifting that weight or pushing that last rep out. I’ve literally put blood sweat and tears into this. There’s not a day where I don’t mentally question if I’m even GOOD ENOUGH?! but I persist & will continue to persist as I’m addicted to seeing where I’ll end up 👀 . My whole outlook on what I thought looking ‘healthy’ was has changed massively over time. Clearly I wanted to look skinny at the start, I put all my effort into cardio/not eating carbs/missing meals/ obsessing over the number on the scales and all that crap 🤦🏻‍♀️ I took a picture one day and HATED my appearance just as much as I did when I was fat 😔 . That’s when I took a different turn 🧐 I researched intermittent fasting & began weight training. Eating MORE but in a controlled way & training SMART 🤯 . Admittedly my stomach is bigger than when I was at my lightest BUT the difference in my leg/glute & waist development is still crazy to me 😆 . Start weight: 83kg, Middle weight: 55kg & Current weight: 62.8kg . EMBRACE THE PACE OF YOUR OWN JOURNEY 📈 . . . #weightlossjourney #weightlosstransformation #fitnessjourney #fitnesstransformation #beforeandafter #beforeandafterweightloss #fattofit #skinnytostrong #musclebuilding #intermittentfasting #gym #weightlifting #girlswholift #gwl #progress #progresspic #personalgrowth #goals #motivated #hardwork #health #fitness #eattogrow
