Parents everywhere can relate to the workout that goes along with lifting your baby’s car seat from your car to your destination. I personally have to take a half-second to breathe and gear up before lifting my little one’s car seat in or out of the car.

Not only are traditional car seats heavy, but they awkwardly jolt your baby around while you’re walking or trying to get the car seat affixed to a stroller.

Enter the Doona, a car seat that transforms into a stroller. How did we not think of this sooner?

The Doona’s wheels are part of the car seat. They fold up when not in use and extend when in stroller mode. Simply brilliant.

One mom who tested it out for POPSUGAR raved about the ease of use and the fact that her baby actually stayed asleep during the transition out of the car, which when carrying a car seat is a dicey proposition. She noted a couple downsides: the price tag (it retails for $499-$550 on Amazon) and the 35-pound weight limit. When it comes to time saved and ease of use, however, it seems like the Doona can’t be beat.
