Eva Longoria welcomes her first child with Jose Baston

It’s a boy for Eva Longoria and her husband José Bastón!

Little Santiago Enrique Bastón was born on June 19 to the happy couple at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. The little guy weighed in at 6 pounds, 13 ounces and appears to be doing well, based on the first photo shared by the couple.

The new parents shared a precious photo of her new son with Hola! magazine. The radiant new mom is holding little Santiago on her chest as he sports the classic hospital hat.

“We are so grateful for this beautiful blessing,” Longoria and Bastón told the magazine.

Baby Santiago is the first child for the 43-year-old Longoria. However, her husband has three children — Mariana, Natalia and José — from a previous marriage.

The actress and director has been very open and honest about her pregnancy with the press and fans. She told US Weekly she discovered she was expecting after feeling miserable at work. At the time, she was directing some episodes of the Fox comedy “The Mick.”

“I was so nauseous and tired,” she said. “I thought they’re going to think I’m a terrible director because I’m sleeping all the time!”

Once the first trimester passed, though, Longoria stayed active and busy: she helped promote her new movie “Overboard” with Anna Farris, she produced a pilot for ABC (“Grand Hotel”) scheduled to air this fall and she even has her own fashion line for the Home Shopping Network.

Meanwhile, Longoria also enjoyed sharing her growing baby bump on social media as she eagerly awaited her firstborn. Although bittersweet, she was luckily able to snap some pictures of her bump with her beloved dog, Jinxy, before he sadly passed away on June 15.

And just a day before Santiago’s arrival, the glowing mama happily posed for a picture all decked out in soccer gear to support the Mexican FIFA World Cup team. She must have known her son would be arriving soon, because she showed off a pint-sized matching jersey.

It looks like baby Santiago will be able to enjoy Mexico’s next big game snuggled in his mother’s arms.
